Chinese Dipping Sauce

Make more of this sauce if making the whole Chinese meal. Double or triple this recipe. Good with Wontons and Chinese Pearl Balls. Add the Cherry Sweet and Sour Sauce, page 182, to have 2 sauces!

   

STEPS

INGREDIENTS

  1. Stir all ingredients together in a small bowl. Make 1 hour in advance preferably for flavors to develop. Can be made up to a few days in advance and chilled.

½ Cup soy sauce

2 T. rice wine vinegar

1 t. sugar to taste

1//4 t. sesame oil

7 paper thin slices of fresh peeled gingerroot

  • Serve at room temperature as a dipping sauce.
